Steel Temper

All kind of steel temper, box annealed and continuous annealed used in tinplate making both T-1 to T-5 and double reduced types.

 

    Aimed Rockwell Hardness 30 T Application
Single Reduce - 46 - 52 Nozzle, spout, end of 5-gallon oil cans, and other application involving extra-deep drawing.
T2 50 - 56 Small square cans, drawn fish cans, corned beef cans, ring caps, and other requiring moderate-deep drawing.
T2.5 52 - 58 Crowns, top plugs for paint cans and other applications where moderate-deep drawability and hardness are required.
T3 54 - 60 5-gallon oil can bodies, sundry cans, large cans another application requiring a proper degree of hardness.
T4 58 - 64 Can ends and bodies where comparatively high strength is required.
T5 62 - 68 Can ends and bodies where a combination of high hardness, strength, and good formability is desired.
Single Reduce DR8 70 - 76 Bodies and ends for small-diameter cans requiring high strengh. 
DR 73 - 79 Bodies and ends for large-diameter cans requiring high strengh.
DR9 74 - 80 Bodies and ends for large-diameter cans requiring high strengh.

Surface Finishes

Bright and Matte layers can be produced by request. Base metal finished of conventional type, including ground roll and shot blasted roll can be produced.

B Bright Finish A luster surface provided by a flow-brightened tin coating on a smoothly grindstone finished steel base
S Stone Finish A luster surface provided by a flow-brightened tin coating on a steel base characterized by a directional grindstone pattern
M Matte Finish A dull surface provided by an unmelted coating generally on dull finished steel base
