Feasibility Study by PT Tambang Timah and PT Krakatau Steel in cooperation with Kaiser Engineering International Corp. 

1982

PT Latinusa was established on August 19, 1982 as a Domestic Investment Company (PMDN) with initial shareholding composition made up of PT Tambang Timah, PT Krakatau Steel and PT Nusantara Ampera Bhakti (Nusamba)

1986

Initiated commercial operation with annual production capacity of 130,000 tons.

2009

PT Latinusa listed shares in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Divestment by Krakatau Steel and acquisition by the Japan Consortium.

2010

Signing of revamping project contract.

2011

At the end of the year, PT Latinusa Tbk has successfully completed the revamping and reconditioning projects to production facilities, thereby improving production quality and expanding production capacity to 160,000 tons.
 

2012

Nippon Steel as the major shareholder merged with Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. and changed its name as Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (NSSMC). The addition of new scroll cut machinery (a part of the revamping project) to improve the products quantity and quality.

2013

Opening of representative office in Surabaya, to facilitate better service to customers and timely response to product information requests.
